Position Title: Business Central Technical Lead / Senior Consultant

Job Summary
ERBrains requires a Technical Lead / Senior Consultant for Dynamics 365 Business Central. The role demands strong AL programming skills and the ability to architect scalable solutions. You will be the technical authority for our BC practice, supporting clients in the ANZ and India regions with complex customizations and integrations.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of Business Central solutions using AL language and Visual Studio Code through all project phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
- Develop new custom modules and extensions based on unique business requirements that cannot be met with standard functionality.
- Architect and implement extensions for Business Central SaaS and On-Premise environments.
- Design and build integrations with 3rd party applications including CRM, e-commerce platforms, shipping carriers, payment gateways, EDI systems, and legacy applications using REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
- Develop custom reports, invoice formats, delivery notes, and other print documents using RDLC and Word layouts.
- Manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, extension management, and version control.
- Upgrade older Dynamics NAV versions (C/AL)to Dynamics 365 Business Central(AL).
- Conduct technical code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority technical issues in production environments and post-Go-Live support.
- Mentor junior developers and assist them in solving complex technical challenges.
- Document technical architecture and design specifications.
- Provide guidance on D365 Business Central licensing from a technical perspective including configuration and user access setup.
- Manage publication of apps to Microsoft AppSource (if applicable).
- Optimize system performance and database queries.
Required Skill Set
- Development: Expert in AL programming, Visual Studio Code, and C/AL (for upgrades) with experience in custom module development.
- Architecture: Strong understanding of the Business Central extension model and event-based architecture.
- Integration: Extensive hands-on experience integrating Business Central with 3rd party applications using Web Services (SOAP/REST), JSON, XML, and custom APIs.
- Cloud: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, and Docker containers.
- DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, build pipelines, and Git.
- Reporting: Strong skills in developing custom RDLC reports, invoice formats, and Power BI integration.
- Industry Experience: Experience working with Manufacturing industries and understanding their technical requirements.
- Licensing Knowledge: Understanding of D365 Business Central licensing models and technical configuration.
- Project Lifecycle: Experience working through complete project phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
- Soft Skills: Ability to lead a technical team and communicate effectively with functional consultants.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,IT, or Engineering.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in Dynamics NAV/BC development with proven experience in Manufacturing industry projects.
- Integration & Customization: Demonstrated experience in 3rd party integrations and custom module development.
- Project Phases: Must have worked through complete project lifecycles from Analysis to Go-Live.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate.
- Upgrade Experience: Proven experience in code refactoring from C/AL to AL.
- Assessment: Technical test will cover AL coding, event subscribers, and API development.
