About The Role
We are seeking a proactive Windows Engineer (L2 level) with 2- 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows infrastructure, web hosting, email services, and database servers.
The role involves operational support, first-line remediation, patching, monitoring, and responding to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Web Hosting & Web Server Support :
- Setup and basic troubleshooting of IIS, Apache, Nginx, Plesk, and cPanel
- SSL installation, minor bug fixing, and extension support
- Participate in patching, backups, and basic DR setup
- Address basic security issues and coordinate escalations
Mail Server Administration
- Configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange, MailEnable, and SmarterMail
- Monitor mail server health, perform patching, and backup activities
- Work with L3 team on escalated mail performance/security issues
Database Support
- Support and monitor Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL on Windows servers
- Handle patching, backups, and DR activities for databases
- Troubleshoot connectivity and basic performance issues
General
- Install, maintain, and monitor Windows Server OS
- Strong fundamentals in networking and system security
- Coordinate with internal users and handle support tickets effectively
- Willing to work in a 247 rotational environment
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to follow escalation matrix and work under pressure
- Willing to work night/weekend shifts if needed
