Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This fully remote role involves monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing security measures to safeguard organizational assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor systems and networks for security breaches and suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and manage security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, SIEM)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis
- Ensure compliance with Indian IT laws and data protection standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure infrastructure and applications
- Provide security awareness training to employees
- Maintain documentation and incident reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
- Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and encryption
- Experience with security tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISM
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with SOC operations
- Experience in industries like banking, fintech, or IT services
