Role Overview

Madre Janus is seeking a Cybersecurity Business Partner to bridge business strategy and cybersecurity execution. This role is critical in aligning client business objectives with robust, scalable, and compliant security solutions. The Cybersecurity Business Partner will work closely with clients, sales, pre-sales, and technical teams to drive value-led security engagements, ensuring trusted advisory, solution alignment, and long-term partnerships.

The ideal candidate will combine strong cybersecurity expertise with commercial acumen, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while supporting business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Client Partnership

  • Act as the primary cybersecurity advisor for assigned clients, understanding their business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory environment.
  • Translate business requirements into effective cybersecurity strategies and solution roadmaps.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers.

Cybersecurity Strategy & Advisory

  • Advise clients on security posture improvement, risk management, and cybersecurity maturity.
  • Align cybersecurity initiatives with frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and industry best practices.
  • Support clients in developing security governance, policies, and operational models.

Pre-Sales & Solution Alignment

  • Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to support solution positioning, customer engagements, and value-based proposals.
  • Contribute to solution design and high-level security architectures, particularly around Fortinet technologies and MSSP offerings.
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and technical documentation with clear business-focused narratives.

Stakeholder & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with solution architects, post-sales engineers, SOC teams, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations, solution scope, and delivery outcomes.
  • Act as an internal advocate for client needs and strategic priorities.

Market & Industry Insight

  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and technology trends.
  • Provide insights to leadership on market opportunities, client demand, and evolving security requirements.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, client workshops, and executive briefings where required.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 58 years of experience in cybersecurity, including roles in consulting, pre-sales, solution architecture, or security advisory.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior business and IT stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains including network security, firewalls, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, endpoint security, SIEM/SOC, and cloud security.
  • Hands-on or strong working knowledge of Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM, FortiEDR, FortiWeb, FortiNAC, etc.) is highly desirable.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Fortinet certifications (NSE 6 / 7).
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are an advantage.

Business & Communication Skills

  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-oriented language.
  • Demonstrated consultative mindset with the ability to influence, advise, and build credibility with clients.
  • Excellent presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
