Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to potential security threats.
2. Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
3. Implement and enforce security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect sensitive data and systems.
4. Investigate and resolve security incidents, working with the incident response team to contain and mitigate breaches.
5. Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
6. Provide recommendations for improving the organization's overall security posture.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve defense mechanisms.
8. Develop and maintain incident response procedures and security documentation.
9. Work closely with IT teams to ensure proper security configurations and patches are applied to systems and software.
10. Educate employees about security best practices and conduct security awareness training.
