About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Forensics and Incident Response Specialist to join our cybersecurity team at Network Intelligence. In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring security alerts, investigating cybersecurity incidents, and supporting forensic investigations to identify, contain, and remediate security breaches. Your expertise will help strengthen our clients defenses by providing thorough analysis, documentation, and strategic recommendations for improving security posture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital forensics, incident response procedures, and cybersecurity tools, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. A relevant master's degree or professional certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, CISSP, or CEH are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or incident response roles.
  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools and SIEM solutions such as Splunk, QRadar, ELK, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with malware analysis, threat hunting, and vulnerability assessment techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring, identifying, and responding to cybersecurity incidents and alerts to minimize potential damage.
  • Support digital forensic investigations by collecting, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence in accordance with standard procedures and best practices.
  • Help in maintaining incident response documentation, case reports, and evidence logs to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Perform initial triage and root cause analysis for detected incidents to determine scope and impact.
  • Assist in the deployment and operation of forensic tools and SIEM solutions such as Splunk, QRadar, and ELK, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline response efforts.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security Operations Center (SOC), and cybersecurity teams to mitigate ongoing threats and implement remediation strategies.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to analyze the effectiveness of response actions and recommend preventive measures for future incidents.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and digital forensics techniques through continuous learning and professional development.
