An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security & Network Security Engineer, based at our manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, India; to strengthen our global security operations and protect our critical systems from evolving threats.

This is a handson, operational role responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events across our endpoints, servers, networks, and email environments. You will work across a range of security technologiesEDR/XDR/MDR platforms, email security gateways, VPN solutions, and core network infrastructure, to ensure strong protection mechanisms and maintain business continuity. You will also lead vulnerability assessments across endpoints, servers, and applications, identifying risks and driving remediation activities to continuously improve Carclo's security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse, and investigate security alerts across endpoints, servers, and networks using EDR/XDR/MDR platforms
  • Lead incident response activities including triage, root cause analysis, containment, and remediation
  • Review and analyse phishing or malicious emails, conducting email forensics using the Emailgateway
  • Assess, review, and optimise firewall configurations and rule sets
  • Maintain, support, and troubleshoot VPN access for global users
  • Review IP configurations, routing, NAT, VLANs, and network segmentation across all sites
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments on endpoints, servers, network infrastructure, and applications
  • Prioritise, track, and support remediation of identified security risks
  • Perform proactive threat hunting using security telemetry and advanced detection queries
  • Investigate suspicious system activity including processes, network activity, and user behavior
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen security controls and contribute to automation/SOAR initiatives

What you will bring

  • Considerable experience in a cyber security or networking role
  • Strong understanding of EDR/XDR/MDR technologies and their alerting capabilities
  • Experience interpreting and responding to security alerts
  • Working knowledge of common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Experience with SIEM or similar alert correlation tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for VPN technologies and remote connectivity
  • Understanding of authentication methods including MFA, certificates, and SSO.
  • Experience with VLANs, segmentation, DNS, and DHCP fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with vendors, IT teams, and senior management.
  • Able to clearly articulate risks, impacts, and urgency to stakeholders
