Job Summary

The Manager, Cyber Security is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization's information assets. This role involves leading a team of security professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business objectives. The Manager will drive the evolution of security processes, manage risk assessments, and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee a team of Cyber Security professionals, focusing on their professional growth and development. Recruit and onboard new team members, conduct performance evaluations, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and expertise - (20%)
  • Recognize and drive necessary changes within the organization, collaborating with leadership to implement strategic initiatives. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and adaptability, while actively contributing to the Cyber Security team's strategic goals - (20%)
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and execute Cyber security plans for significant system and application changes. Ensure compliance with security standards, mediate conflicts, and translate complex security concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences - (20%)
  • Direct the planning and execution of IT projects that support the organization's security objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efforts to develop and implement new procedures to enhance security operations - (20%)
  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal processes and procedures. Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, including technical requirements and project updates, while managing budgetary considerations and training expenses - (20%)

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
  • One or more field related professional technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+, CDPSE) or able to complete within 12 months.
  • 7+ years of work experience in Information Security, IT Audit or Risk Management

Preferred Qualifications


  • Two or more field related professional technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+, CDPSE)
  • 8+ years of work experience in Information Security, IT Audit or Risk Management experience
