Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Operations Manager oversees cybersecurity operations delivery, ensuring effective execution of services, performance against SLAs, and alignment with organizational goals. The role combines leadership, operational governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cybersecurity operations teams and daily service delivery
- Plan staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet operational demands
- Monitor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and operational objectives
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, and external service providers
- Manage escalations, major incidents, and operational risks
- Deliver regular operational reporting and insights to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and resilience
- Support talent development, coaching, and performance management within the team
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including leadership roles
- Proven experience managing SOC or cybersecurity operations teams
- Strong knowledge of operational governance, risk management, and service delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with performance metrics, reporting, and operational strategy
- Ability to lead teams in high-pressure, mission-critical environments
