IT / OT Cyber Security Architect

Contract: 18 months+

Hyderabad, India (3 days onsite)

TechNET-IT has partnered with a global pharmaceutical and consumer health manufacturing organisation (c.40,000+ employees, operating across multiple international markets) to hire an experienced IT / OT Cyber Security Architect on a long-term contract basis.

This is an opportunity to join a global manufacturing security function, supporting large-scale IT/OT convergence and digital transformation programmes within a highly regulated pharma and healthcare environment. You will play a key role in securing industrial ecosystems across the full manufacturing lifecycle, from plant floor systems through to cloud, ensuring compliance, resilience, and security-by-design across critical production environments.

The role is suited to architects with strong experience across:

• OT/ICS security within manufacturing environments

• Hybrid infrastructure and cloud-aligned architectures

• Modernisation of legacy industrial systems#

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design and governance of secure, standardised IT/OT architectures across manufacturing sites

• Drive IT/OT convergence, including segmentation strategies aligned to the Purdue model and DMZ design

• Support the migration and modernisation of industrial systems from legacy infrastructure (including VMware) to hybrid cloud environments (Azure Local)

• Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments using frameworks such as STRIDE and MITRE ATT&CK for ICS

• Define and implement OT security standards aligned to IEC 62443 and NIST CSF

• Act as a trusted advisor to global stakeholders and provide security oversight across third-party vendors.

Required experience:

• 5+ years in IT/OT cyber security architecture within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or regulated manufacturing environments

• Strong knowledge of OT/ICS systems including SCADA, DCS, PLCs and industrial protocols

• Proven experience applying IEC 62443 within real-world industrial environments

• Hands-on experience with IT/OT network segmentation and secure architecture design

• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS and secure system design

• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) within hybrid architectures

Preferred:

• Experience supporting pharma manufacturing, GxP environments, or Industry 4.0 programmes (IoT, edge computing)

• Certifications such as CISSP, GICSP or IEC 62443
