Objectives of the Role

• Monitor and analyze SIEM alerts daily to detect and respond to cyber threats.
• Handle incidents in AV and DLP consoles and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain regulatory and NCIIPC compliance through effective SOC operations.

• Handle first level response for security events: IDS / IPS alarms, malware (alerting, not triage), account misuse, network security events, etc.
• Able to effectively weed out false positives and make decisions on triage steps.

• Able to effectively weed out false positives and make decisions on triage steps.

The analyst willmonitorand investigate SIEM alerts,validatesuspicious events, and escalate incidentsperdefined procedures, while fine-tuning correlation rules and use cases to improve detection quality. They will build andmaintainSOAR playbooks to automate common response actions, coordinate with SOC/IT/app teams for remediation, publish daily/weekly dashboards, and ensure adherence to SLAs for alert handling
