Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Remote (India)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to help protect organizational systems, networks, and data from security threats. In this role, you will monitor security events, analyze risks, respond to incidents, and support the implementation of security controls. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to strengthen the organization's overall security posture in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Investigate security incidents and support incident response and remediation activities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with risk analysis
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve system and network security
- Support compliance with security standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Maintain documentation related to security incidents, controls, and processes
- Stay informed about emerging security threats, trends, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related role
- Strong understanding of security concepts such as network security, access control, and encryption
- Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response processes
- Familiarity with operating systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and penetration testing concepts
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, CISSP or working toward certification)
- Experience securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
