Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java, Kafka, and AWS. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership capabilities, who can drive technical excellence and innovation within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and guidance in the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Kafka, and AWS.
Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. Ensure that the team adheres to best practices in software development and agile methodologies.
Architecture Design: Lead the architecture and design of robust and scalable systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define project requirements and align on priorities.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Recruitment and Talent Development: Assist in the recruitment process for engineering talent and support the professional growth and development of team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and related technologies.
Proven experience with Kafka for real-time data processing and message brokering.
Strong expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
Experience in leading engineering teams and managing software development projects.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and software development best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
