Job Description

Job Overview:

As the Upselling Manager for the TAC Security team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on upselling opportunities within the technical assistance services provided to our clients. You will work closely with the TAC engineers, sales teams, and account managers to ensure customer satisfaction while promoting additional services, products, and upgrades that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the upselling initiatives within the TAC Security department by working with engineers, account managers, and customers to identify and present upsell opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the adoption of additional services and products offered to existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the TAC engineers to understand customer needs, challenges, and pain points, and provide tailored solutions that highlight upsell opportunities.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of all product offerings, service packages, and security solutions to offer valuable recommendations to customers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, including conversion rates and revenue growth, to identify trends and optimize strategies.
  • Train and mentor TAC engineers on how to effectively spot and pursue upsell opportunities during customer interactions.
  • Assist with the development of sales collateral, including proposals, presentations, and documentation that help secure upsell deals.
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations to ensure upsell success and long-term customer retention.
  • Provide regular reporting on upselling performance and results to leadership.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for additional value-added services.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of upselling activities, including renewals, support contracts, and service agreements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in upselling, sales, or customer success, preferably within a technical or security-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of TAC (Technical Assistance Center) operations, security products, and technical services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and report on upsell performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer objections effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Certification in sales or security-related fields (e.g., CISSP, CEH).
  • Experience working within a SaaS or cloud-based security environment.
