Job Title: Customer Service Engineer

Experience :1-3 years

Salary: 2.7 lpa 3.36 Lpa

The Customer Service Engineer will serve as a technical sales and on-site customer support specialist for TMT rebar and binding wire, leveraging civil engineering knowledge to guide reinforcement best practices, conduct product demonstrations, solve site execution challenges, and build strong relationships with contractors, builders, and site teams. The role focuses on customer satisfaction, technical advisory, and driving sales conversions through field engagement at construction and infrastructure project sites.

Technical Sales Business Development

  • Engage with contractors, site engineers, builders, and project managers to promote Tata Steel TMT
  • binding wire solutions
  • Provide project-level technical consultation on steel usage, bar bending, lap length, spacing, yield
  • strength, corrosion resistance, and seismic compliance
  • Convert technical discussions into sales opportunities through value-based selling
  • Identify upcoming infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects and onboard them as customers
  • Prepare material estimation support for clients based on drawings and site requirements
  • Conduct product demos, sampling, and technical presentations at construction sites and offices

Customer Support Complaint Resolution

  • Act as a single point of contact for technical complaints
  • Visit sites to assess issues related to TMT performance, bending cracks, weld mesh alignment, or
  • binding wire usability
  • Coordinate with internal logistics, warehouse, and Tata Steel teams for investigation and closure
  • Ensure fast turnaround for customer grievance handling
  • Maintain a complaint log, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and corrective action tracking
  • Provide preventive guidance to avoid future material issues

Training Technical Awareness

  • Educate customers on correct handling, storage, bending, cutting, and tying practices Conduct site-level awareness sessions on Tata Steel product advantages vs market alternatives
  • Support internal teams with customer feedback and technical learning insights

Documentation Reporting

  • Maintain daily visit reports, project pipeline, lead conversion updates, and complaint status
  • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports including:
  • Site engagement count
  • Sales influenced through technical intervention
  • Complaint resolution rate
  • Customer satisfaction trends
  • Market insights
  • Ensure all interactions are logged in ERP/CRM if applicable

Desired Academic Qualifications

B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Desired Work Experience 0-2 Years Prior exposure to rebar, reinforcement steel, or construction site coordination

Experience In Technical Sales Or Site Engineering Role
