Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Customer Project Manager 2 to lead and deliver medium to large-scale customer projects in enterprise IT environments. The role involves managing end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment with customer business objectives, and delivering projects
on time, within budget, and with high quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong
core project management experience, exposure to
Data Center and Cisco ACI environments, and experience working with customers in the
BFSI domain.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery
- Manage end-to-end delivery of customer projects including transactional and subscription-based engagements.
- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Provide leadership to project teams and ensure accountability across stakeholders.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource plans.
- Implement structured project governance, delivery frameworks, and execution processes.
- Ensure project activities align with customer strategy and business objectives.
- Manage project dependencies across multiple technologies and delivery teams.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Track and manage project financials, budgets, and profitability metrics.
- Monitor project performance through defined KPIs and delivery milestones.
- Manage third-party vendors and partner commercial engagements where applicable.
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead the contractual Change Management process to manage scope adjustments.
- Ensure all project changes follow formal approval and governance processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain effective communication with customers, internal leadership, and project teams.
- Provide regular project status updates and executive-level reporting.
- Manage expectations of key stakeholders across business and technical teams.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Coordinate with delivery partners and vendors for project execution.
- Manage third-party technical resources and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Track vendor deliverables and ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
Knowledge Sharing & Team Development
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to capability building within the project management community.
- Share lessons learned, best practices, and project insights to strengthen delivery excellence.
Project Scope
- Typically responsible for 24 medium to large-scale customer projects simultaneously.
- Projects may involve multi-technology environments, including networking, data center, security, and infrastructure modernization.
Project Complexity
- Moderate to high-risk projects.
- Medium to high dependency management across teams.
- Multi-technology and cross-functional delivery environments.
- Regional or multi-location project execution.
Required Skills & Competencies Core Project Management
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery governance.
- Experience managing project scope, risk, issues, and change control.
Technical Domain Exposure
- Exposure to Data Center and Networking projects.
- Experience managing projects involving Cisco ACI and Data Center technologies.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments.
Industry Domain
- Experience managing projects for BFSI customers is highly preferred.
- Understanding of BFSI operational, regulatory, and security considerations.
Stakeholder & Leadership Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong customer relationship management capabilities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized college/university or equivalent qualification.
- 6+ years of experience in project management, preferably within IT, telecom, or technology services environments.
- Proven experience managing medium to large enterprise customer projects.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile / Scrum certifications.
- Certifications related to Data Center or Cisco technologies are a plus.
