As a Custom Software Engineer, your day revolves around leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. You serve as the main liaison for project stakeholders, ensuring that application requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented. Your role involves coordinating with various teams to align technical solutions with business needs, overseeing the progress of application builds, and troubleshooting any challenges that arise during development. You actively manage the lifecycle of applications from conception through deployment, maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality, tailored software solutions that meet client expectations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of application components while maintaining quality standards.
- Document application design and configuration details to support knowledge sharing.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in their development tasks.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow App Engine.
- Experience in designing and configuring custom applications within the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and deployment processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues effectively.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and data management within ServiceNow environments.
