Summary:

As a support engineer, a typical day involves providing application support and working on minor enhancements and change requests. The role requires working closely with project teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer actively engages in iterative development cycles, applying modern methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions that align with organizational goals. Collaboration and continuous refinement of software elements are key aspects of the daily workflow, ensuring that the final product delivers optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
• Maintain and update existing software components to improve functionality and performance.
• Document technical specifications and development processes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding project requirements and technical challenges.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in OpenText xECM, OTDS, OTCS.
• Experience with application support and minor enhancement development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with integration of enterprise content management systems within broader IT environments.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
