1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Within IT Flat Europe organization, the Digital & IT Finance and Procurement perimeter i responsible for the IT Strategy of the Finance and Procurement functions, including efficiency, process and system exploitation and optimization.

The Crystal Application Analyst will join an IT department focused on the differentiated cost calculation for Flat steel business. These figures are crucial for monthly cost reporting, calculation of sales margins, the ArcelorMittal Operating Statement and benchmarking costs across different Flat plants.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Management and Development

Manage an ArcelorMittal in-house developed application with:

• Front-end technology: HTML5/Angular web application.
• Back-end technology: data transformation services and calculation engines in C#.
• Data layer: MS SQL Server database.
• File transfer middleware via Globalscape.

Maintain and develop multiple cost allocation and differentiation rules expressed in formulas, coefficients, and decision tables.

Technical and Process Understanding

As you will have to report the cost over the different production steps, it is important to have a basic knowledge of the different steps in the steel-producing processes.

Be familiar with technical material specifications in the ArcelorMittal Flat product range to interpret existing developments and logic.

Support and Issue Resolution

Offer daily support and solve calculation issues in the cost differentiation programs.

Analyze abnormal results in cost calculations from a technical point of view.

Data Management and Reporting

Perform regular data transfers to all local supply chain domains.

Manage ad-hoc data extraction requests from stakeholders.

1. REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• knowledge of T-SQL
• Knowledge of ETL (being able to manage the interfaces with the source systems)
• Experience with HTML5/Angular, Csharp and MS SQL database server (technical referent for the clusters)
• Fluent speaking English
• Being stress resilient, in particular on monthly closure to respect all reporting deadlines
• Being flexible, enhanced availability in critical reporting period (longer presence)
• Project Management skills: Ability to drive Crystal harmonization across clusters

1. REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of steel production steps is an advantage, or eager to learn rapidly
