Job Responsibilities
- Compliance with vessel related statutory, regulatory, Wallem, Union and Client's requirements
- Responsible for compliance in maintaining Crew Management Software of new recruits
- Ensure a complete understanding of crewing and company KPI's and compliance with the same
- Quality control and verification checks on CV and documents
- Maintenance of Crew Management System with required documents and information
- Support seafarers to induct in Wallem and liaise with other departments to facilitate on boarding
- Matrix compliance matching
- Support Recruitment Manager in manpower planning, selection and placement of seafarers
- Liaison and follow up with new and potential recruits
- Pre-employment checks and tests of new recruits
- Negotiating and influencing new recruits on Wallems terms and conditions
- Advance planning for recruitment to deliver results with minimum expense
- Support Manager in maintaining operational budget
- Executing recruitment drives in various regions.
- Communicating seafarer's expectations to manager
- Identify individual candidates wants and needs and demonstrate how working at company can fulfill same
- Escalation of exceptions to Recruitment Manager and compliance with Company policies
- Ensure business risk procedures are complied with
- Communicate industry and new recruit feedback to Manager, which may affect successful recruitment results
- Liaise through efficient and closed loop communication with stakeholders
- Maintain good professional relationship with colleagues in all business functions, service providers and external stakeholders
- Provide cooperation and take initiatives to see through business results
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Degree in Maritime / Logistic or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar position
- Effective communicator with strong command of English.
