Job Description

  • Recruit, manage, coach, and develop a new team of in-office Credit Risk Operations Associates.
  • Execute on credit underwriting frameworks to evaluate financial statements and business modelsfrom venture-backed startups to established entities.
  • Identify key assumptions and trade-offs to inform optimal credit risk decisions.
  • Drive operational performance and process improvement to maintain credit tolerance and optimize customer experience.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team culture, ensuring team members are engaged, effective, and progressing in their careers.
  • Set clear team goals, expectations, and provide regular, constructive performance feedback.
  • Use data-driven analysis for performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Promote and embody company values such as transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience managing credit risk and/or underwriting teams.
  • Strong background in commercial credit underwriting, risk modeling, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ability to convert business/financial data into narratives outlining credit risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed internal stakeholders.
  • Operational experience, including process implementation and service delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving ability in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to perform the core responsibilities of user-facing teams with high quality standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in payments, e-commerce, or fintech.
  • Experience building and scaling teams from scratch (zero to one).
  • Background in high-growth technology environments.
