Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses applying for loans to finance electric vehicles (EVs). This role requires expertise in financial analysis, risk evaluation, and decision-making within the auto loan or EV financing sector.

- Assess borrower profile (entities and individuals) and engage with customers

- work with front line sales team towards creating a strong credit orientation culture

- create and periodically review credit risk policies

- portfolio monitoring and early warning sign (EWS) review

- steer credit risk related training for the front line team

- work with internal assurance/audit team and proactively review gaps and act on corrective measures.

- compliance with risk policies (both credit and non credit)

- contribute to tech upgrades and system development

- work along with credit operations to monitor operating risk

- evaluate market risk and regularly recommend corrective steps to management

- create performance reports and present to management

Experience

- Must have experience in MSME lending, B2B lending, corporate lending, or commercial lending.

- prior experience of atleast 7 years in credit risk management in a bank or NBFC

- strong analytical and research skills

- Preference for CA or finance related post graduates

- strong communication skills

- sound understanding of financial services regulatory environment
