About the Role
The Credit Manager Used Car is responsible for evaluating and managing credit proposals for Used Car Product. The role involves, management and maintenance of the quality of the portfolio while ensuring alignment with IDFC First Bank credit risk appetite and the overall credit strategy. Requires close coordination with the sales team and other stakeholders. Execution of the tasks to be managed, which is both sales supportive and risk averse contributing to the larger organizational objectives of the bank.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for underwriting Used Car proposals as per the laid down policies & procedure to honour the agreed SLAs and manage business volumes.
- Conduct personal discussion with customers to establish credit worthiness.
- Coordinate with sales to achieve targets and ensure SLAs are met.
- Ensuring credit policy adherence to the accepted standards
- Review and approve credit proposals given the discretionary authority and forward others to appropriate approval authority while ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policy.
- Ensure credit and business commitments are aligned with the bank's strategic goals.
- Identify key credit risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies during proposal evaluations.
- Vendor co-ordination for CPV, PD & Valuation agencies for Quality & TAT as per the agreed SLA's.
- Channel co-ordination for improvement in TAT & Quality sourcing.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the performance of the retail credit portfolio on a regular basis, providing recommendations for changes wherever necessary.
- Recommend improvements to processes and policies across to drive operational efficiencies and high-quality service.
- Preparing Internal MIS's for tracking the Productivity & TAT and ensuring the corrective measures are taken for the gaps identified.

Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation, financial analysis, or related fields.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and apply financial ratios effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealer and team interactions.
- Proficiency in managing MIS reports and databases.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk identification and resolution.
