Are you an experienced Credit Analyst ready to take the next step in your career Join ELP as a Mortgage Broking Credit Analyst and play a key role in helping our clients achieve their home ownership dreams.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly support our brokers by conducting in-depth credit assessments and providing expert insights into mortgage applications.


Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit and risk assessments on mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
- Liaise with brokers, clients, and lenders to gather required documentation and clarify application details
- Analyse client financial data to calculate borrowing capacity in line with lender guidelines
- Prepare detailed credit submissions and recommendations for loan approvals
- Ensure compliance with all relevant banking, finance legislation, and regulatory frameworks
- Stay current with changes in mortgage lending policies and industry regulations
- Provide expert guidance to brokers on complex or self-employed applications
- Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline credit analysis processes
- Manage deadlines and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment



Requirements

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst in the Australian mortgage sector
- Strong understanding of credit assessment methodologies, credit reports, and mortgage lending policies
- Proven ability to interpret financial statements and assess self-employed borrower scenarios
- Proficient with credit and mortgage assessment tools/software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently and make informed recommendations
