THE OPPORTUNITY
Wiingy is a global tutoring marketplace loved by students and parents worldwide, connecting learners with expert tutors across 350+ subjects in 180 countries. We are building a brand that earns trust and drives growth at the same time, and we want a creative leader who can do both.
This role sits its at the intersection of brand thinking, growth execution, and creative leadership. You will be expected to take a business problem, shape the creative direction, and remain close enough to the work to make it great.
You will also lead a small team of graphic designers, video editors and animators, setting the bar for what Wiingy looks and sounds like in motion. If you want a role where your creative decisions connect directly to outcomes and your thinking shapes what a global brand becomes, this is it.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO
Your job is to translate problems into creative solutions and lead others to do the same. Every brief has a business objective behind it, and your role is to understand that objective before you open any tool — and to make sure your team does too.
Brand and design system
- Own the visual language of Wiingy across every surface: social, web, YouTube, and product
- Build and maintain a design system so every touchpoint, from a thumbnail to a landing page, feels deliberate and consistent
- Develop and evolve the brand style guide as Wiingy grows into new markets and audiences
- Use AI tools like Midjourney, Firefly, and Runway to accelerate ideation, generate mockups, and push creative boundaries
Campaign design
- Take campaign briefs and translate them into visual concepts, not just assets
- Design across the full campaign arc: from the hero creative to the supporting assets that carry it through every channel
- Work with growth, content, and product teams so the visual idea and the business objective are always the same idea
- Design explainer visuals, promotional creatives, and product launch assets that make Wiingy's value proposition immediately clear
Video and motion production
- Lead the production of brand videos from brief to final delivery, working closely with video editors and animators
- Set the creative direction for each video: concept, visual style, pacing, and tone — then guide the team to execute it
- Review and provide clear, specific feedback on edits and animation work, maintaining a high bar for quality and brand consistency
- Build and manage a repeatable production workflow so video projects ship on time without compromising quality
- Develop motion guidelines and templates that give editors and animators a clear creative framework to work within
Social media
- Design creatives for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook that stop the scroll and stay on brand
- Turn content briefs into posts, carousels, and visual stories that feel native to each platform
- Design YouTube thumbnails that earn the click: strong layouts, clear type, and a visual hook
- Develop cohesive creative styles across video series so the channel looks intentional, not assembled
Website and product
- Create banners, icons, and infographics for Wiingy's website that are clear, on-brand, and optimised for performance
- Support UI/UX updates with consistent visuals that serve the user, not just the brief
WHO YOU ARE
- You think in problems before you think in pixels: given a brief, your first instinct is to understand the objective, not open Figma
- You see design as a growth lever, not just a craft, and you are curious about how creative decisions affect conversion, retention, and brand perception
- You have experience and a portfolio that shows you can translate ideas into outcomes, not just execute instructions
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Figma, and you know when to use which
- You have a sharp eye for composition, color, and typography and you notice when something is slightly off
- You have already experimented with AI creative tools and see them as an accelerator, not a shortcut
- You are comfortable working with ambiguity: not every brief will be perfect, and you are good at asking the right questions to get there
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience designing for US or global audiences
- Hands-on motion design or video editing skills, beyond just directing others
- A personal design practice or side project that shows range
- Familiarity with performance marketing creative, such as paid social or landing page assets
- Familiarity with web asset optimisation and basic UI/UX principles
