We are seeking a hands-on Creative Head - Promos who will lead and build a high-performing creative team while driving the visual identity of creative promos across the Republic Network.
This is a team-first leadership role for a highly creative professional who can guide, mentor, and elevate a team of promos, and motion artists - while also actively contributing to ideation and execution. You will be responsible for delivering compelling, visually rich promotional content for TV shows, IPs, and branded content, while continuously innovating with new formats and AI-led creative approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Ideation
- Drive the overall ideation & creative vision and conceptualization for promos across shows, IPs, and branded content.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and guide the team in developing innovative concepts.
- Create and nurture new formats, storytelling styles, and visual identities.
- Ensure ideas are not just creative, but also aligned with brand and audience objectives.
Team Leadership & People Management (Core Focus)
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of promo designers, and motion graphic artists.
- Build a strong, collaborative, and high-performance creative culture.
- Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and career development support to team members.
- Ensure efficient workload distribution, project prioritization, and team productivity.
- Act as the primary decision-maker for all creative outputs from the team.
Design Oversight & Quality Control
- Oversee all creative output to ensure high aesthetic accomplishments, standards and consistency.
- Guide the team in crafting strong compositions, typography, motion, and storytelling.
- Step in with hands-on inputs where required to elevate the final output.
Innovation, Formats & AI Integration
- Introduce and implement AI-powered creative workflows within the team.
- Encourage experimentation with emerging tools, formats, and design trends.
- Drive innovation in promo storytelling and visual execution.
Execution & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with editorial, branded content, programming and sales teams to understand briefs and deliver impactful creatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality benchmarks.
- Balance creative ambition with practical execution and deadlines.
Cross-Content Adaptability
- Lead the team across varied genres including branded content, potentially news and IPs.
- Guide the team in adapting creative styles based on content tonality and audience.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Proven ability to lead and manage creative teams effectively
- Strong design sensibility with expertise in visual storytelling and composition
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar)
- Strong understanding of motion graphics, branding, and promo production
- Familiarity with AI tools in creative workflows (generative visuals, video tools, automation)
- Ability to conceptualize and scale new creative formats
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of experience in creative roles within media, entertainment, or advertising
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams
- Strong portfolio showcasing promos, campaigns, and visual storytelling work
- Bachelors/PG or any other related design courses will be preferred
- Experience in broadcast, digital or production house ecosystems preferred
- News experience is not mandatory, but adaptability to the genre is important
