Mystery Monks is hiring Freelance Creative Directors to lead animated video and explainer projects on a per-project basis. This is ideal as a side hustle for experienced professionals in animation/video production who have directional experience.

We're a freelance platform with a vetted pool of writers, animators, designers, and voice artists. Our sales team secures the project with a pre-approved budget you take over from there: assemble the right team, manage production, and deliver quality work on time and within budget.

Our sales team closes the order and hands it over to you with a pre-approved budget. You're responsible for building the right team from our pool and delivering a high-quality video within the given budget and timeline.

What You'll Do

• Lead animated video projects (2D/2.5D/3D/Motion Graphics) from concept to delivery
• Manage writers, animators, designers, and voice-over artists
• Break projects into tasks, set timelines, and oversee quality
• Coordinate between clients and creators

Requirements

• Strong grasp of animation and storytelling
• Experience managing creative teams and timelines
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deliver within set budgets

• We allocate payments to creators
• Remaining amount is your earning
• No advance payment; payout after final client approval
• Initial earnings may be low/average
