Job Description

Jewellery Capability Building

  • Own training and capability development for retail teams across all jewellery outlets.
  • Drive structured learning for Diamonds, Solitaires, Studded and High-Value Jewellery, including certification and mastery pathways.
  • Partner with global and domestic certification bodies (e.g., diamond institutes) to build credibility and technical expertise.
  • Align learning outcomes with key business metrics such as conversion, ASP, ticket size, and category contribution.



Learning Strategy & Curriculum Design

  • Design and evolve end-to-end learning journeys covering onboarding, upskilling, and mastery.
  • Develop content across product knowledge, premium selling, service behaviours, grooming, and people skills.
  • Publish and execute an annual training calendar aligned to product launches and business priorities.



Service Excellence & Retail Leadership

  • Enable consistent service excellence, trust-building, and long-term customer relationship behaviours.
  • Build store manager capability in customer experience leadership, people management, and operational excellence.
  • Work with business teams to address customer pain points and reduce service variability across regions.



Trainer Leadership & Learning Ecosystem

  • Lead a blended ecosystem of on-roll and off-roll trainers.
  • Build strong regional trainer, RTM, and learning champion models to scale reach and effectiveness.
  • Track training effectiveness through dashboards, MIS, and structured reviews.
  • Develop trainers as business enablers, not just facilitators.



Digital Learning & Innovation

  • Drive LMS adoption and effectiveness across the retail network.
  • Leverage technology and digital tools to improve reach, consistency, and on-demand learning.
  • Integrate learning metrics into leadership scorecards and reviews.



Stakeholder & Franchisee Engagement

  • Partner with regional business leaders, sales heads, marketing teams, and franchise partners.
  • Travel extensively to stores to understand ground realities, coach teams, and reinforce training impact.
  • Conduct regular capability health reviews with senior regional leadership.



Governance & Measurement

  • Measure ROI and business impact of learning interventions.
  • Manage training budgets, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality induction of all new retail hire

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead - Jewellery Training should have:

  • 15+ years of experience across Retail Operations, Sales & Marketing, or Human Resources, with strong exposure to capability building and training leadership.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling learning interventions in retail or consumer-facing environments.
  • Exposure to jewellery, luxury, lifestyle, or high-involvement retail will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions, regions, and franchise partners.
  • High energy, outcome-driven leader comfortable with ambiguity and extensive field engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate the business value of learning.

MUST:

  • Should have managed 20+ trainers PAN India.
  • Should have extensive experience, understanding & knowledge of Jewellery business.
  • Candidates with past stints in jewellery sector across Retail Operations, Sales & Marketing, or Human Resources with training experience can also apply.
