MAIN PURPOSE

Country Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial and commercial leadership for the country. The person will be involved in and partner with the business to set strategy and deliver on achieving key strategic targets including annual financial targets (e.g. Revenue, EBIT, CCC days & FCF). The person will be responsible for driving and ensuring fiscal discipline in the country and leading and developing a high-performance finance team. This role is centered on building a strong partnership with the business, providing financial support to drive revenue and profitability growth in the country, aligned with the One Toll value and Toll strategic priorities.

Accountabilities

This role will be responsible in the following key areas: -

  • Direct the overall financial governance/integrity and strategy for the Business in accordance with its goals aligned with the Toll Group framework & objectives.
  • Drive profitability by partnering with the business to set strategic goals, monitor these goals and determine solutions to improve business and financial performance.
  • Drive the development of a high-performing finance team focused on value-added & complex financial activities, while leveraging the COE for transactional processes.
  • Prepare & refine business plan/budget/forecast to ensure accuracy and relevance of financial data, while delivering in-depth analysis to support performance improvement.
  • Proactively provide commercial support and partner with the business to support our customers in the sales to delivery.
  • Pursue capital productivity by driving capital expenditure policy and optimization of resources (including credit & cash management) to maximize returns on investment.
  • Ensure all financial reports are prepared in an accurate & timely manner and include the material business operation.
  • Maintain effective systems of internal controls and adherence to the relevant Toll policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Toll & local statutory policies, local regulations & requirements.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders such as Country Management team, Divisional /Group Finance leaders and other functional leaders.

PRE-REQUISITES:

To succeed in this role, it is expected that the person will have:

Experience/Professional Skills/Personal Attributes

  • At least 7 10 years of senior finance experience in a company of comparable scale & complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulation, treasury and taxation.
  • Strong business acumen & strategic orientation Applies complex thinking abilities, incorporating analytical abilities to develop & manage business plans and strategies.
  • Demonstrates ability to partner with multiple leadership teams to assess financial and business opportunities and risks across the organization.
  • Strong track record in managing change and integration in a transformed environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to attract and develop talent.
  • Logistics &/or freight forwarding industry experience is a plus.
  • SAP and/or Cargo wise system knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate qualifications in finance or accounting (including local taxation)
  • Membership of relevant accounting professional body (ACA/CPA or equivalent)
