JOB CODE: - REPORTING TO Business Development Manager - Solar
TYPE OF ROLE: Individual Contributor Role
LOCATION: Corporate Office, Mumbai.
BU/ DIVISION: Professional Lighting
JOB PURPOSE: To prepare detailed project cost estimates for Solar EPC projects
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation and validation of BOQs, material take-offs, and cost break-ups
- Coordination with Design team for system sizing, layouts, and specifications
- Coordination with SCM & Vendors for latest material prices and cost optimization
- Preparation of tender costing, price build-up, and margin analysis
- Support Sales / BD team with techno-commercial inputs for bids and proposals
- Analysis of tender documents, scope of work, and contractual requirements
- Cost comparison with previous projects and benchmarking for competitiveness
- Identification of cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Support during price negotiations and contract finalization
- Preparation of cost MIS, estimation reports, and management presentations
- Post-order handover support to Projects & Execution teams
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Renewable/ Energy); MBA/ PGDM (Operations/ Finance) preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
4-8 years of experience in costing, estimation or pre-contracts for solar EPC/ Renewable Energy projects
PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Hands-on experience in cost estimation of 50200 MWp Solar projects
- Exposure to Ground Mount, Rooftop, Open Access, and Utility-scale solar projects
- Strong understanding of end-to-end EPC cost structures (DC, AC, BOS, civil & evacuation)
- Experience in both Government and C&I solar projects preferred
