Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cost Estimation Engineer located in Mumbai. The Cost Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and project estimations, conducting thorough research, analyzing room layouts and rack locations, server density, and thermal containment designs. Additional tasks include performing on-site audits, preparing detailed cost estimates, negotiating with vendors, and collaborating with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Performmechanical calculationsfor material requirements, dimensions, quantities, and unit conversions.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost breakdowns, and price summaries for tenders.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors; compare and finalize cost inputs.
• Maintain an updated cost database for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Ensure all estimates comply with project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
• Prepare estimation reports for management review.
• Performmechanical calculations(meter feet, mm inches, weight volume, etc.)
