We are seeking a meticulous Cost Accountant to manage cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, and the ability to provide insights for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost sheets, analyze production costs, and track variances.
- Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs and suggest cost optimization measures.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of production costs and cost allocations.
- Generate periodic cost reports and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with finance, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 37 years of experience in cost accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, methods, and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
