Key Role Statement:
Oversee coordination between Lessor and GC
Oversee GC design, planning and coordination works and highlight if there is any risk
Oversee timely approval of RFI's, RFA's, submittals, drawings, samples and mock-ups as
applicable
Oversee GC QA/QC management and implementation
Oversee GC Safety and Security Department management and implementation.
Oversee the entire T&C program which includes monitoring & ensuring GC deliverables
towards T&C, verification and acceptance of Test scripts (as per the testing &
commissioning standards / requirements). The main responsibilities would be to coordinate
between GC and other agencies for Issue resolution
Qualification Required:
12+ years of progressive responsibility project construction management
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
Construction Project Management, or Construction Management
Proficiency in MS projects, Primavera, AutoCAD, report generations
Direct Experience In Data Center Construction Is Preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent client relationship skills
Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
Basic Commissioning knowledge for projects and coordination experience
Construction of health & safety knowledge
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with contractual
requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, environmental policies, and
local laws as per visibility.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders,
including clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities
- Manage the schedule, and resources of entire scope of works including Civil,
finishes, MEP and identify & mitigate any risks or issues that may arise during
the project lifecycle
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, issues, and changes that may affect
the project scope, cost, quality, or schedule
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and evaluations to ensure quality
control, safety performance, and to the Client / Lessor satisfaction
- Attend the CSA and M&E design workshops, co-ordination meeting to ensure that
design, technical and site issues are discussed and resolved accordingly.
- Ensure the compliance of project specs towards CSA, MEP systems with relevant
standards, codes, regulations, and specifications, as well as the contractual
requirements and expectations of the client / Lessor
- Oversee and review design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, technical
submittals, method statements, and as built documents
- Prepare and submit progress reports and other project documents to relevant
parties if required.
- Resolves any conflicts, disputes, or claims that may arise during the project
execution, and escalate to senior management when necessary
- Review and recommend Construction Management Plan (Construction Methods,
Planning, Coordination, Quality Control/Assurance, Testing and implementation
Plan).
- Review and monitor the program, site progress and quality of works
- Review the working programs and mitigation process in the event of delays
- Routine site walks with QA/QC Team to educate that Lease Partner
representatives are aware of the Project Requirement and Specification.
- Weekly Audit on the QA/QC documents and COMPASS implementation
Safety and Regulation
- Routine site walks with GC and Packaged Contractors Safety Team to have a Safe
Working Environment
- Weekly Audit on EHS documents provided from EHS team
- Represents Microsoft as a safety leader and advocates on all campus/metro
construction programs, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory
requirements (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], or
equivalent) to ensure compliance and aggressive management of risk.
- Conducts routine safety program, project, and contractor audits, performs and
participates in incident investigations.
