We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to support critical telecom billing operations that keep Amazon running globally. In this role, you'll ensure billing accuracy for thousands of invoices supporting essential network services that connect Amazon sites across 46+ countries. Working in our centralized Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platform, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of infrastructure connectivity that enable Amazon's global operations, ensuring every invoice is accurate and every circuit is properly tracked.
Key job responsibilities
Invoice Validation & Management
. Monitor and validate telecom invoices in centralized TEM tool to ensure accurate billing
. Identify and document billing discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies
. Verify circuit inventory information accuracy and completeness
. Ensure proper bill start and stop dates for circuit disconnections and activations
. Follow established procedures to process invoice corrections
Vendor Coordination
. Partner with third-party telecom vendors to coordinate circuit billing updates
. Track and document billing credits and SLA infraction credits from carriers
. Communicate with vendors on billing disputes following established escalation procedures
. Maintain records of vendor interactions and resolution status
. Escalate complex billing issues to leadership as needed
Circuit Inventory Reconciliation
. Conduct inventory reconciliation across TEM billing systems following standard procedures
. Validate circuit inventory data against billing records and carrier invoices
. Identify unused, inactive, or duplicate services for review
. Update and maintain accurate circuit and service inventory records in TEM platform
. Cross-check data against multiple sources to ensure data accuracy
Reporting & Documentation
. Extract billing data from TEM platform for analysis
. Generate standard reports on billing discrepancies and reconciliation status
. Document billing procedures and maintain process documentation
. Support monthly billing reconciliation processes
. Provide status updates on assigned tasks to leadership
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- 1-2 years of experience in billing operations, accounts payable, or data entry
- 3+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
- Basic understanding of telecom circuit terminology (DIA/EPL/PRI) or telecommunications billing
- Experience with data reconciliation or inventory management
