Corporate Lawyer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic legal professional to join our Mumbai office at the Associate Partner / Senior Manager level. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in General Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Corporate Restructuring, with a strong track record of advising clients across diverse industries.

Roles and Responsibilities;

• Lead and manage complex M&A transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring projects.

• Provide strategic legal counsel on general corporate matters, regulatory compliance, and governance.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and transaction documents. • Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of legal mandates.

• Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and team development.

• Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments impacting corporate law and M&A.

• Assists senior members of team on prospective client pursuits. Support in pitching for new clients - undertaking a detailed study to identify possible restructuring ideas/ opportunities.

• Understands risk management procedures and ensure that they are being adhered to within engagements.

Skillsets / Desired profile:

• LL.B. or equivalent degree from a reputed institution; LL.M. is a plus.

• 10–12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a leading law firm.

• Proven expertise in corporate law, M&A, and restructuring.

• Strong understanding of Indian corporate and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Background:

• Experience working with top-tier law firms or reputed corporate legal departments.

• Exposure to cross-border transactions and international clients is an advantage.
