Job Description

Job Purpose: The role is responsible for cluster level activities in managing and enhancing the company's relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall corporate image and reputation.

Government Liasoning:

Build and nurture relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and other relevant authorities to facilitate smooth communication channels.

Stay abreast of the latest regulations, policies, and guidelines related to the chemical industry and ensure the company's compliance.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting the chemical manufacturing industry.

Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and work proactively to address any changes.

Policy Advocacy:

Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company.

Engage in advocacy efforts to shape policies that align with the company's strategic goals and values.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

Oversee the development and implementation of CSR initiatives that contribute positively to the community and environment.

Maintain transparent communication on CSR activities and their impact.

Public Relations:

Manage external communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation.

Develop and distribute press releases, articles, and other materials to highlight the company's achievements and contributions.

Crisis Management:

Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential issues that may impact the company's reputation.

Act as a spokesperson during times of crisis, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Internal Communication:

Foster effective communication within the organization regarding corporate affairs initiatives.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with corporate messaging and values.

Permitting and Licensing:

Coordinate and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and clearances for the company's operations.

Work closely with regulatory agencies to expedite the approval process while ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of all permits, licenses, and approvals.

Job Specification:

  • Any Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of proven experience in corporate affairs, public relations, or a related role within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
