Corporate Actions Specialist

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Corporate Actions Specialist, you will be responsible for managing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions custody functions across all organizational accounts. You will work under the guidance of more experienced staff, focusing on accurate and timely processing and reconciliation.

  • Process basic mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, which includes daily interpretation, monitoring, scrubbing, and notification.
  • Handle the processing of liability notices, as well as the processing and allocation of dividend interest payments.
  • Manage the processing of class action suits.
  • Reconcile, monitor, and post entitlements to client accounts.
  • Perform daily and monthly outlier review, research, and documentation.
  • Execute daily reconciliations for cash, security, and suspense transactions, adhering strictly to established quality control measures and procedures.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from various internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers, sub-custodians, and/or custodians.
  • Utilize multiple systems to perform comprehensive corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbing announcements, sending client instructions to third parties, and posting online cash and security transactions.
