Job Title: Corporate Accounting Intern

Location: Chennai, India

Duration: 6 Months

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and process vendor invoices, including food suppliers, housekeeping, utilities, and other operational expenses
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including vendor bills and payments in the accounting system
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Support statutory audits, tax audits, and financial reviews by preparing required documentation
  • Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and reports to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Assist in Direct Tax and Indirect Tax (GST) compliance, including TDS filings
  • Support MCA/ROC filings and other regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Candidates with prior experience in accounting or finance (freshers are not preferred)

Internship experience in accounting OR 1-2 years of relevant work experience in finance/accounting

Educational background in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred)

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

  • Familiarity with accounting software/ERP tools is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
