Job Title: Corporate Accounting Intern

Location: Chennai, India

Duration: 6 Months

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Verify and process vendor invoices, including food suppliers, housekeeping, utilities, and other operational expenses
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including vendor bills and payments in the accounting system
Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
Support statutory audits, tax audits, and financial reviews by preparing required documentation
Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and reports to ensure compliance and accuracy
Assist in Direct Tax and Indirect Tax (GST) compliance, including TDS filings
Support MCA/ROC filings and other regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements

Candidates with prior experience in accounting or finance (freshers are not preferred)

Internship experience in accounting OR 1–2 years of relevant work experience in finance/accounting

Educational background in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred)

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

Familiarity with accounting software/ERP tools is an added advantage
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
