Job Title: Direct Response Ad Copywriter
Role Overview:
We're hiring a D2C Ad Copywriter who understands one thing deeply: copy exists to drive action, not applause.
This role is for someone who has hands-on experience writing high-converting ad copy for Meta & YouTube, understands hooks, hold, and scroll-stopping psychology, and can consistently produce scripts that perform at scale.
You'll be working closely with performance marketers, editors, and founders to create UGC, brand, and performance video scripts that convert.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Ad Copy (Core Responsibility)
Write high-converting ad copy for:
Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
YouTube video ads
Craft strong hooks (0–3 sec) that drive:
High CTR
Avg hook & hold rate of 30%+
Optimize copy for:
Scroll-stopping
Clarity
Emotional pull + logical payoff
Video Ad Scripts (UGC + Brand + Performance)
Write video ad scripts for:
UGC-style testimonial & POV videos
Founder / Doctor / Authority videos / Testimonials / Local Languages
Performance-driven direct response ads
Brand-building narratives that still convert
Adapt scripts based on:
Funnel stage (TOF / MOF / BOF)
Customer awareness levels
Creative Testing & Iteration
Create multiple hook variations for the same offer
Rewrite and iterate based on:
CTR
Hook & hold rate
Watch time & conversions
Collaborate with media buyers to improve performance using data-backed insights
Brand + Performance Balance
Maintain brand tone while still writing conversion-focused copy
Ensure claims, messaging, and storytelling stay aligned with brand positioning
Skills & Capabilities:
Proven ability to write direct response ad copy
Deep understanding of:
Hooks, scroll psychology, and attention economy
Customer pain points & emotional triggers
Strong scripting skills for short-form video (15–60 sec)
Knows the difference between:
Content vs ad copy
Branding vs performance
Comfortable writing in conversational, UGC-friendly language, Hinglish Language
What You Must Have Experience With:
Meta Ads copywriting
YouTube video ad scripts
UGC video scripts
Brand content + performance ad scripts
Working with performance marketers / growth teams
Experience & Compensation:
Experience: 3+ years in direct response ad copywriting (D2C preferred)
