Position Title: Digital Copywriter (Advertising)

Position Summary

The Digital Copywriter (Mid-Level) is a creative and strategic role responsible for producing high-quality digital copy across various platforms, including websites, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising. With 4-7 years of experience in digital content creation, this position requires a keen understanding of brand voice, messaging, and the digital landscape. The Digital Copywriter will work closely with creative teams, designers, and marketing strategists to develop and execute engaging content that resonates with target audiences and supports overall campaign objectives.

Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Write compelling and persuasive copies for digital platforms such as websites, social media, email campaigns, and digital ads.
  • Ensure all copy aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging, maintaining consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Create clear, on-brand, and effective messaging for digital campaigns and social media posts that drive engagement and conversion.

Strategic Thinking & Brand Alignment

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to develop creative briefs, ensuring alignment with brand strategies and campaign goals.
  • Contributes to the development of digital content strategies that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Implement feedback and optimize copy to meet project goals, ensuring consistency with the overarching brand strategy.

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Work alongside designers and art directors to craft integrated digital campaigns that combine strong visuals and copywriting for maximum impact.
  • Develop content that is tailored to each platform, ensuring messaging is adapted for specific audiences (e.g., social media copy, email newsletters, digital ads).
  • Assist in campaign ideation and provide input on the creative direction, helping to drive content creation from concept to execution.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their brand, target audience, and marketing objectives, translating that into effective digital content.
  • Present and pitch copied ideas to clients, gathering feedback and making necessary revisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with creative, high-quality solutions.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Work with the digital marketing and analytics teams to track content performance and suggest improvements based on metrics such as engagement, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Optimize digital content for SEO and user engagement, ensuring it ranks well on search engines and drives traffic to key landing pages.

Trend Awareness & Innovation

  • Stay current on industry trends, digital marketing strategies, and emerging technologies, incorporating new insights and approaches into copywriting practices.
  • Continuously bring fresh, creative ideas to the table for digital campaigns and brand storytelling.

Skills

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and on-brand copy.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, including social media, websites, email marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Ability to write for diverse audiences and adapt tone/style to suit different brand voices and campaign goals.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how to optimize copy for search engines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and contribute to ideation and creative processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to pitch and explain creative concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in digital copywriting, preferably in an advertising agency, digital marketing, or creative environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong digital copywriting, including social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and digital ads.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, and basic HTML is a plus.
  • Knowledge of digital trends and best practices in online advertising, social media, and content marketing.
