Role Overview

We are looking for a performance-driven D2C Copywriter who can craft clear, persuasive, and high-converting copy across key customer touchpoints.

This role focuses on three primary areas: website content, performance marketing creatives, and retention communication. The ideal candidate understands consumer psychology, digital behavior, and conversion-focused writing, and can translate product insights into messaging that drives engagement, builds trust, and improves conversions.

You will be writing across multiple digital formats, including Meta & Google ads, emailers, and push notifications.

Key Responsibilities
1. Performance Marketing (Meta & Google Ads)

Develop high-performing copy for performance marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing hooks, headlines, and primary copy for Meta and Google ads

  • Creating messaging for static creatives, carousel ads, and video ads

  • Translating product insights and customer pain points into compelling ad angles

  • Collaborating with the performance marketing team to optimize campaigns based on performance data

  • Continuously testing and iterating copy to improve CTR, engagement, and conversions

2. Retention Marketing (Push Notifications & Emails)

Create communication that keeps existing customers engaged with the brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing push notifications and email campaigns for launches, promotions, and customer education

  • Crafting subject lines, preview text, and email copy to improve open and click-through rates

  • Structuring retention communication to encourage repeat purchases and long-term brand engagement

  • Ensuring messaging aligns with campaigns, product launches, and brand communication

3. Audience & Consumer Insights
  • Conduct audience research to understand customer preferences, motivations, and behaviors

  • Translate insights into targeted messaging that resonates with different audience segments

  • Align content with customer needs to improve engagement and conversion outcomes

4. Copy Auditing & Content Optimization
  • Review and audit existing copy across platforms to evaluate content quality and messaging effectiveness

  • Identify opportunities to improve clarity, impact, and conversion potential

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to refine content strategies

5. Performance Tracking & Analysis

Monitor and analyze content performance using key metrics such as:

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR)

  • Conversion Rate

  • Add-to-Cart (ATC) Rate

  • Bounce Rate

  • Time Spent on Page

  • Pages per Session

  • Content Engagement Metrics

  • New vs returning customers base

Use these insights to refine messaging, improve campaigns, and drive stronger results.

Requirements
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Copywriter or Content Writer, preferably in D2C, e-commerce, marketing agencies, or digital-first brands

  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and conversion-focused copywriting

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Strong research and storytelling abilities

  • Experience writing for ads, landing pages, email campaigns, and digital marketing

  • Familiarity with SEO principles and website analytics tools is an added advantage

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced marketing environment
