Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Copy Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of copywriters while delivering high-quality, engaging, and strategically aligned content across platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of brand voice, creative strategy, and team leadership to ensure impactful storytelling and consistent brand communication.
The ideal candidate will combine strong conceptual thinking with hands-on copy expertise and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Understanding & Alignment
- Maintain a deep understanding of the brand's voice, tone, positioning, and messaging guidelines.
- Ensure all content aligns with the brand identity, values, and communication objectives.
2. Content Strategy & Conceptualization
- Develop creative strategies and campaign concepts aligned with brand goals and audience insights.
- Contribute to big-idea thinking across advertising, digital, and integrated marketing campaigns.
3. Copywriting & Creative Leadership
- Write compelling and persuasive copy across formats including digital campaigns, social media, websites, blogs, scripts, storyboards, pitch decks, and more.
- Lead and supervise a team of copywriters, providing direction, constructive feedback, and mentorship.
- Ensure consistently high-quality output across all deliverables.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with art supervisors, designers, account managers, strategists, and clients to develop cohesive, integrated campaigns.
- Translate client briefs into effective creative communication solutions.
5. Quality Assurance & Production Oversight
- Review, edit, and refine copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
- Oversee pre-production and production copy checks.
- Attend shoots and music recordings to supervise script execution and ensure creative alignment.
6. Market & Trend Awareness
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging content formats, competitor strategies, and digital innovations.
- Identify opportunities for experimentation and continuous creative improvement.
7. Client Communication & Escalation Management
- Participate in client meetings, pitches, and presentations, offering strategic creative input.
- Strengthen client relationships through clear and confident communication.
- Act as a point of contact for creative escalations.
8. Team Development & Hiring
- Identify, hire, and onboard capable, independent creative resources.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-driven team environment.
9. Team & Workflow Management
- Conduct weekly team meetings to track progress, provide feedback, and proactively address challenges.
- Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams and clients.
10. Time & Process Management
- Ensure adherence to internal turnaround times (TATs) and task prioritization.
- Maintain compliance with documented SOPs and operational processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- 45 years of industry experience, preferably within a digital or integrated agency environment.
- Prior experience managing and mentoring a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proofreading and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and digital ecosystems across multiple industries.
- Strong conceptual thinking and campaign development skills.
- Thorough command of grammar and language fundamentals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
