Role Overview

TTF is seeking a dynamic, creative, and tech-savvy Digital Communications Coordinator to amplify our voice, grow our community, and bring our work to life across digital platforms. This is not just a content role it is a mission-critical position that sits at the heart of how TTF connects with the world.

You will be the driving force behind TTF's digital presence, crafting stories that inspire, building an engaged online community, and ensuring that our work reaches and resonates with every stakeholder: from school principals and teachers to government officers and philanthropic donors.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Presence

Own and energise TTF's social media channels including Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube with a clear mandate to grow reach, deepen engagement, and build an active, enthusiastic community of educators and supporters.

  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy that brings TTF's work to life daily and weekly
  • Create compelling, platform-appropriate content that sparks conversations and builds followership
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and cultivate an active online community
  • Track performance metrics and continuously iterate to improve reach and impact

Content Creation

Create high-quality, tailored content for each of TTF's key audiences school heads and administrators, classroom teachers, current and prospective funders, and government education officers.

  • Write in a clear, engaging, and accessible style that communicates complex ideas simply and powerfully
  • Design visually striking assets using tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Produce and edit short-form videos and reels that capture TTF's programmes in action
  • Capture authentic, candid footage of TTF's work in schools with teachers, headteachers, and students

Multi-channel Dissemination

Implement a systematic, calendar-driven content plan across all relevant channels digital and physical.

  • Manage regular email newsletters, donor platform updates, and website content refreshes
  • Coordinate physical mailers and printed communications on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Maintain TTF's presence on relevant education and philanthropy platforms and directories

Community Building

Build and manage vibrant digital communities among TTF's educator network.

  • Administer and moderate WhatsApp and/or Telegram groups for school leaders and teachers especially alumni of TTF training programmes
  • Curate and share content that keeps these communities engaged, informed, and connected
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen peer learning and networking among community members

Stakeholder Communications

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of TTF's full range of programmes to communicate accurately, enthusiastically, and with authority.

  • Translate programme outcomes and impact data into stories that resonate with funders and government partners
  • Collaborate closely with programme teams to stay current on TTF's activities and achievements
  • Support donor communications and stewardship through thoughtful, personalised digital touchpoints

What we are Looking For

Essential

  • 24 years of experience in digital communications, social media management, or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Kannada and/or Hindi preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to write in a lucid, engaging, and accessible style across formats
  • Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms and their best practices
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with video capture, editing, and short-form video production
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with high initiative

Desirable

  • Familiarity with the Indian school education ecosystem and its key stakeholders
  • Experience managing online communities (WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, Facebook Groups, etc.)
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Zoho, or similar)
  • Basic analytics skills comfortable reading platform insights and using data to inform strategy
  • A genuine passion for education and social impact
