Role Overview
The Cook Service Manager will own theend-to-end supply, quality, and performanceof cooks and chefs onboarded on the UnoTasker platform in Kolkata. This is a hands-on, field-driven role responsible for onboarding, training, scheduling, relationship management, and service continuity for bothdaily and monthly bookings.
This role is ideal for candidates fromHotel Management (Catering / Kitchen Operations)or aCulinary background who want to build and scale a city-level service operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesCook & Chef Onboarding
- Identify, source, and onboard local cooks, chefs, and Maharaj across Kolkata
- Conduct background verification, skill assessment, and hygiene checks
- Build a strong and reliable supply pool across key residential clusters
Training & Quality Control
- Train cooks on service etiquette, hygiene standards, customer interaction, and platform usage
- Ensure consistency in food quality and service delivery
- Conduct refresher training and corrective sessions when required
Scheduling & Operations Management
- Manage daily and monthly cook scheduling via the app and internal tools
- Ensure zero service disruption through backup planning and replacements
- Coordinate shift timings, availability, and route efficiency
Performance Monitoring
- Track cook performance through ratings, customer feedback, and service metrics
- Handle escalations, complaints, and crisis situations professionally
- Take corrective action including retraining or offboarding when required
Society & Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residential societies
- Coordinate for society-level daily and monthly cook bookings
- Act as the point of contact for societies for service quality and issue resolution
Crisis Handling & Service Recovery
- Manage last-minute cancellations, no-shows, and service failures
- Ensure quick resolution and customer satisfaction in high-pressure situations
Desired ProfileEducation & Background
- Degree/Diploma inHotel Management, Catering Management, Culinary Arts, or related field
- Alternatively, strong operational experience in food services or institutional kitchens
Experience
- 36 years of experience in kitchen operations, catering management, food service supervision, or hospitality operations
- Experience managing staff, schedules, and service quality is mandatory
