The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items as per Mitti Café’s menu, ensuring quality, hygiene, and timely service. The role also involves supporting and training team members, many of whom are persons with disabilities, in kitchen tasks.

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items consistently and on time.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen.
• Follow portion control and standard recipes to minimize wastage.
• Assist in daily kitchen operations including chopping, mixing, grilling, frying, and baking.
• Work closely with the Café Manager and team to ensure smooth café operations.
• Monitor stock levels, inform the manager of shortages, and assist in basic inventory management.
• Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored.
• Support in training and guiding team members with special needs in basic kitchen tasks.

• Prior experience as a cook/chef in a café, restaurant, or catering setup preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene standards and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive, respectful attitude.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and busy hours.

• Minimum: Class 10 pass (preferred but not mandatory).
• Training in cooking, food production, or F&B service is an added advantage.
