Controllers - AWM[Public] Fund Accounting - Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President for the Controllers - AWM[Public] Fund Accounting team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fund accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting for public funds. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee complex accounting operations and guide a team towards achieving excellence in financial management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage fund accounting processes for various public funds.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth operations and reporting.
• Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Monitor and implement best practices in fund accounting and reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• 10-18 years of experience in fund accounting or similar roles, with a strong understanding of public fund regulations.
• Proficient in financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
• Experience with fund accounting software and financial management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
