Job Description

As a Controller in our Finance team, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial control processes and supporting strategic initiatives across the Auto business. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Product Analysis (PA), Risk, and other control groups. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all month-end journal entries, accruals, and reversals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Support US regulatory filings, including Recovery and Resolution appendices and other periodic submissions
  • Conduct reviews and perform user testing on system enhancements impacting financial and regulatory reporting
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Auto leadership, Project Managers, Finance teams, and control partners
  • Escalate issues appropriately while presenting complex information clearly and concisely to senior management
  • Assist in implementing new US GAAP accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring business compliance with evolving guidelines
  • Design, develop, and distribute financial reports to provide insights for accounting and finance teams

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting function, either internal or external
  • Proven ability to analyze large volumes of data and distill it into actionable insights for executive audiences
  • Quick learner with the ability to formulate and execute plans effectively
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical content clearly to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance
  • Prior experience in Controllers functions, particularly within the Retail Banking or Auto Finance domain
