Role Overview:

The Controller of Examinations is a senior academic administrative position responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all examination-related activities of the University. The role ensures integrity, confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of examination processes across all programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and conduct end-semester, internal, supplementary, and competitive examinations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with UGC, statutory, and university examination regulations.
  • Oversee question paper setting, moderation, evaluation, result processing, and publication.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and integrity of examination processes and records.
  • Manage examination schedules, timetables, grading systems, and re-evaluation procedures.
  • Supervise examination staff and coordinate with academic departments, IT, and administration.
  • Handle examination-related grievances, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Lead digital and automation initiatives in examination and evaluation systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of university examination systems and academic regulations.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality handling.
  • Excellent organisational, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage large-scale operations under strict timelines.
  • Proficiency in examination management software and digital systems.

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • PhD in any discipline with at least 55% marks at the postgraduate level.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as Associate Professor in a university system (preferably in private universities).
  • 510 years of experience as Controller of Examinations or in a senior examinations administration role.
