The Controller is a strategic financial leader responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports executive decision-making through timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis. The Controller will lead and mentor the accounting team, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes to support the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury functions.
  • Perform month end close responsibilities such as posting of journal entries , preparation of prepaid and accrual schedules and overall review
  • Conduct account analysis and month end balance sheet reconciliations and schedules
  • Prepare month end reporting package for management review.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements (state, 401K, banking, etc) are completed timely and accurately and submitted within deadlines established.
  • Oversee all audit, bank, and tax compliance (ex. Tax returns, 401K calculations and bank reporting, etc )
  • Lead vendor negotiations and management
  • Cash management/ treasury function
  • Perform payroll processing and related benefits reporting
  • Propose and implement accounting systems and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and theories
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in Healthcare
  • Proficiency with current financial software
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
